:Canoeing Blue Lakes - Lake CountyA certain kind of magical feeling embraces you while paddling these two small enchanting lakes located in Lake County. The spectacular scenery, leisurely two-hour paddle and 5 m.p.h. boat speed limit provide a superb paddling destination for all levels of paddlers.

 Blue Lakes offer superb kayak angling opportunities for rainbow trout, largemouth bass, catfish, and bluegill.

The lake is stocked bi-monthly with rainbow trout in the 10 to 12" class by the Department of Fish and Game. The best trout fishing is in the springtime, when the weather is cooler, but during the summertime you’ll have better success hooking a bluegill or bass.

Open: Blue Lakes are open seven days a week year-round from dawn to dusk for boating. Both lakes have a 5 m.p.h. boat speed limit. Narrow Lodge and Pine acres Resorts are open all year for camping and lodging. NOTE: Beginning April 8, 2008 all motorized and non-motorized vessels including boats, trailers, kayaks, canoes, jet skis, inflatable rafts, etc. will be required to obtain an inspection sticker prior to launching.

Fees: There are fees to launch, to camp and for pets.
