Lake Gregory offers swimming, boating
and fishing. In addition to water activities on the
lake, Lake Gregory offers a 300-foot water slide on
the western side. This huge, inflated structure
floats on 13,755 square feet of the lake’s Swim
Cove, and has sandy beaches, restrooms, grills,
picnic tables, picnic shelters, and volleyball
courts along the shore. Lake Gregory Regional Park
also offers a fitness trail which encircles the
lake, and can be used by hikers, joggers and
walkers. The trail meanders through the pines,
beaches and the lake's mountain town of Crestline.
Activities ranging from horseback riding, hunting
and wildlife viewing, to mountain biking, camping
and hiking, are available nearby.
Beyond the bustling swimming area, anglers search
for trout, bass, catfish, carp, and bluegill from a
kayak, the shore, or a fishing tube. Lake Gregory is
stocked with German brown and rainbow trout, making
it one of the best places to kayak fish in the San
Bernardino Mountains. German brown trout are being
stocked in hope the browns would knock down the
population of stunted crappie in the lake, which is
the main reason the trout were planted.
